Insoutenable Légèreté -Gustav Adolf Mossa
Gustav-Adolf Mossa, est un peintre symboliste français né à Nice le 28 janvier 1883 et mort à Nice le 25 mai 1971. Son père Alexis Mossa (1844-1926), était lui même un peintre niçois qui fit de nombreuses affiches pour le Carnaval de Nice à la fin du XIXe siècle. Il a fortement influencé Gustav-Adolf dans sa carrière de peintre. Il est un peintre symboliste dans la mouvance de Gustave Moreau, Lucien Lévy-Dhurmer, Edgar Maxence, Émile-René Ménard. Imprégné de ses lectures, Mallarmé, Baudelaire, Huysmans, il s'inspire des maîtres du Quattrocento, des préraphaélites, de l'Art nouveau. Il peint intensivement pendant une quinzaine d'année, jusqu'en 1918, mais la plupart de ses œuvres symbolistes ne sont découvertes qu'après son décès.
